I’m sitting at my desk working on mixes for the cast album of THE CONNECTOR and it suddenly occurred to me that I should let you know that we only have two weeks left – 16 more performances to watch this incredible cast and hear this incredible band at this wonderful theater on this gorgeous set. I’ll be playing all 16 shows and reveling in the magnificent music that these people make together. So if you haven’t gotten to MCC yet (or if you have and need to get another fix), I hope you’ll come join us.  This has been an absolutely magical experience. Ticket buying info is right here!
And yes, there will be a cast album!  As always, Jeffrey Lesser and I are creating an audio portrait of this stunning production, featuring Scott Bakula, Hannah Cruz, Ben Levi Ross and the entire original MCC Theater cast and orchestra. Concord Theatricals Recordings will be releasing the album this spring! (We don’t have a date yet – hang in there!)  Playbill’s got the scoop.
Fear not, citizens of the British Isles, I’ve got you covered! Even though you can’t see THE CONNECTOR on your fair shores (yet!), I’m coming overmyself to sing a bunch of songs for you at the London Palladium! (I keep writing that sentence and it seems like I’m joking, but I really am playing the London Palladium. I know! It’s madness!) And I decided to bring a friend along to sing with me: The Living Legend Herself, Ms. CYNTHIA ERIVO! We’ve got a ten-piece band, a thousand songs to sing, and the most gorgeous historic theater in all of London. March 24, 8 PM! Go here to book tickets!
Also coming up in NYC: On May 9, I’m doing a concert as part of this year’s Lyrics and Lyricists series at the 92nd St. Y with my band and lots of singers. I’m honored to be part of this series and performing at this fantastic theater.  It’s my only NY concert this season, so we’re going to blow it out big time!  Come join us!
And right after my show at the 92nd St. Y, I head into rehearsals for Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil at the Goodman Theater in Chicago, where we start performances June 25
And that’s not all!
I’m one of the honorees at this year’s MISCAST benefit for MCC Theater – so excited to be part of the fun for one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the awards season. Come join us on Monday, April 15 at the Hammerstein Ballroom! Here are details!
AND!
Here’s a great roundup of last season’s cast albums, including a great review for our fantastic recording of the PARADE revival!
AND!
PARADE is going on national tour! Starting in January 2025, Michael Arden’s breathtaking production will be traveling across the country in all of its glory. I am so overwhelmed with emotion that Leo Frank’s story will be told at a time when it is so urgently, desperately needed.
There’s plenty more news but I’ve gotta save it for later!  Wishing you all a wonderful March – I hope to see you soon!
