Real big news: As of today, right now, this very instant, you can stream and/or download the 2023 Broadway cast album of PARADE! Produced by myself and Jeffrey Lesser, with Ben Platt, Micaela Diamond, Alex Joseph Grayson and the whole amazing cast AND the 24-piece City Center orchestra (featuring Georgia Stitt on the piano!), the album contains seventy-nine minutes and fifty seconds of lush, delicious and sometimes terrifying music recorded in pristine digital stereo, including several new songs written for the Donmar production and now preserved for the first time in their full symphonic orchestration. Thanks to the folks at Interscope Records who made it all happen – I’m immensely proud of this new recording, and this incredible production! Here’s a convenient link to tell you everywhere you can stream or download the album … and I’m told there’s vinyl coming later this year!

On the road again: I’m traveling this April for two very special events. First up: Atlanta, GA! In a collaboration between Neranenah and the Alliance Theater, I’m taking the stage on April 11 for an intimate evening of conversation and piano shenanigans on the brand-new Coca Cola Stage. Come join me, Amanda Watkins and Joe Alterman for a talk about my Jewish heritage, my songwriting process, my journey through show business, and whatever else they ask me about, while I attack the Kawai with my customary élan and yowl. April 11, 7:30 PM, details and tickets right at this link! Going back to Cali: Then it’s off to the Segerstrom Center in Costa Mesa, CA for three shows with my great friend and vocal genius Mykal Kilgore! We’re playing with some ridiculously great LA musicians (Linda Taylor, Trey Henry and Jamie Eblen) and pulling out all the stops, with a set list drawn from my entire career, including several new songs making their California debut! I can’t wait to come back to Southern California and make some noise! April 27, 28 and 29 at 7:30 – the details and ticket links are right here!

The story goes on: With rave reviews from The New York Times, Variety, Time Out New York, The Guardian, and virtually everywhere else, the new production of PARADE on Broadway is playing to standing-room-only crowds every night. It’s a gorgeous production directed beautifully by Michael Arden, conducted luminously by Tom Murray, and featuring a cast that sings us to Heaven. This production runs through August 6 at the Jacobs Theater (where 13 premiered fifteen years ago!) and I hope you can make it. Ticket information is right at this link.

AND TWO OTHER THINGS!

1. My previous blog post, about the protestors in front of our theater (who have not returned as of this date), was re-published in USA TODAY, and you can read that here.

2. Ben Platt and Micaela Diamond performed “This Is Not Over Yet” on the Today Show on NBC this morning, and you can watch that right here.
