I had a great time earlier this week speaking with All Things Considered‘s Jacki Lyden about the production of The Last Five Years now in previews at NYC’s Second Stage Theatre. You can read about it on the National Public Radio website and you can listen to it right here.
Performances currently scheduled through April 28! Hope to see you there!

I was so surprised to hear your voice during “All Things Considered”! Great story about the show and its history. I just wish I could come to NYC and see this production. Hopefully the film will happen and the whole world will see what a great score and story “L5Y” is, and I won’t have to explain to my friends who Jason Robert Brown is: they’ll KNOW.
The first preview was BRILLIANT and Adam and Betsy really made the characters their own. The band rocked – awesome orchestration for (among others) a violin and two celli (don’t you KNOW any violists?!). JRB’s direction was masterful – all up it was a pleasure and a privilege to see. Bravo, Maestro Brown; may this show have a sellout season, a long half-life and endless revivals the world over.
