Last week, I started a new video series called “The Deep Dive,” where I’m delve into the writing process of The Connector in obsessive, microscopic detail. Here’s Issue #1, where I spend about eight minutes talking about … the first measure of the show.

And now, I’m happy to announce Issue #2 is live and streaming right here on your computer or tiny device, and it features two songs I cut from the show, briskly underscored dramaturgical explanations, a yeti, Maurizio Pollini, and Sting. Check it out here!

And while I absolutely cannot be counted on to follow through on something like this, my intention is to post one issue a week (at least!) until I get through the whole score!

(And speaking of “the whole score,” if you’re looking for a way to listen to the amazing cast album or bang your way through the sheet music, merely make with the clicky-clicky and all the wonders of the world shall be yours!)

OH, AND INCIDENTALLY…

I’m playing my first-ever solo concert at Carnegie Hall on October 25 with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s and some incredible guest singers, and you should come. Tickets are here. You know what to do.
