Many thanks to a really fun crowd this afternoon in Greencastle IN, for singing your hearts out during “Caravan of Angels” and for generally putting up with my rambling patter (and for being so nice to my new song)! A whole weekend of master classes and talks will follow here at DePauw, and I’m looking forward to it.
It All Fades Away (The Bridges of Madison County)
I Could Be In Love With Someone Like You (Wearing Someone Else’s Clothes)
Long Long Road (Wearing Someone Else’s Clothes)
Nothing In Common (Wearing Someone Else’s Clothers)
The Old Red Hills Of Home (Parade)
King of the World (Songs for a New World)
I Love Betsy (Honeymoon In Vegas)
Wondering (The Bridges of Madison County)
Being A Geek (13)
One Summer (world premiere from a new show I can’t tell you about yet)
Caravan of Angels (Now available on iTunes!)
Moving Too Fast (The Last Five Years)
Someone To Fall Back On (Wearing Someone Else’s Clothes)
Thanks to Steven Linville for taking such great care of me and working out all the logistics after my flight got cancelled (yikes!), and thanks to D. Mark McCoy and the whole DePauw School of Music team for bringing me out!

Thanks for making the weekend work with the insane juggling! Concert was awesome and I really appreciated the “stepping stones” you shared in the classes.
As dean of a music school, I hear a LOT of performances from musicians of the highest order– none more riveting than what I heard with JRB this weekend. An incredible composer, powerful performer, and really amazing pedagogue, Jason Robert Brown had a major impact in a weather-shortened whirlwind campus residency. We are all better for his visit, his performance and most of all, his music.
What an amazing weekend for the students and for us teachers at DePauw University. A wonderful concert and such important, honest, fruitful, and kind master classes. Thank you for everything!
Jason, my son and I were attending incoming Freshman auditions this past weekend and were excited when we were invited to attend your concert. To say we were blown away wouldn’t do it justice. Your humor, talent, and connection with the audience was incredible, but I have to say there was something else. Upon the conclusion of your concert and reading more about you online, my son made the comment, “Dad, there’s a lot more to music than just playing”. A simple statement with a lot of meaning. He’s been looking for guidance in his love of music, Jason, and sometimes it’s the unseen touches that matter most. Thanks for an outstanding evening!
