A warm and wonderful crowd at the Falls Theatre at ACT last night – my first solo concert ever in Seattle, and it felt like home. Thank you all for being so welcoming and for laughing at my endless patter!

It was great to be able to come out and support Broadway Bound and their fantastic production of 13. I’m looking forward to working with the kids this afternoon and then partying at opening night tonight!
You’re fantastic, Seattle! I’ll try to come back soon!

Thanks so much for the great concert last night. It was especially nice to hear all the stories.
I wanted to thank you for performing “Someone to Fall Back On” last night. My husband and I got married about a month ago and he sang that song at our reception. It meant a lot to us that you performed it!

We couldn’t have asked for a better show. All the best to you!
Thank you for a great show! I enjoyed hearing old favorites and songs I’ven’t heard yet.
It was great to hear The Old Red Hills of Home, It brings up memories of seeing the production at Wright State University. I was a theatre major at the time the show was produced, but I didn’t work on the show.
Thank you for pursuing and sharing (or should I say “putting it up for sale.”?) your art. It has enriched my life, and I’m sure it has enriched the lives of others.
JRB, I had the privilege of both seeing you perform and watching you work with the kids yesterday before opening night. You are an amazing performer. (There are other wonderful talents who compose both music and lyrics who cannot also perform their work well, which does not apply to you.)
I am going to write a little article up for seattleactor.com, which is why I’m getting to do this, and I’d hoped to chat with you for just a few minutes to ask some questions for that purpose, but it was not to be.
Watching you work with the kids was great. You spoke to them directly, quickly, and with respect. You didn’t speak down to them and clearly communicated. I could see from your history with 13 that you worked with teenagers doing this show from its first iterations, so I guess you’re used to it, but also you do it splendidly.
I’m very pleased I could attend and hope you had as great a time here in Seattle as we had getting to spend time with you.
You are wonderful. Truly entertaining, highly imaginative, remarkably talented, dedicated, quick-minded, witty… Thank you. And please come back to Seattle again soon.

You provided a plethora of experiences for those of us who enjoyed your presence: An amazing “late-night” concert for those of us who, like you, said, “Nine o’clock?” An unforgettable learning experience for our kids; a much enjoyed talk-back after opening night which was entertaining, enjoyable and energetic; and, finally, a lovely way to light up our darker winter weekends. Thanks for teaching, singing, talking, “pattering,” laughing and being a part of Seattle’s 13. Good luck in the England run as well as in all of your future endeavors.
