Hey there, JRBites and JRBanians!

It’s been over two months, and some of you were starting to get concerned, so here is a quick update on what’s goin’ down in JRB-land!

To answer the most common question: What’s going on with 13? Lawyers, lawyers, lawyers. Really. You remember that joke about how many lawyers it takes to change a light bulb? I now know the real answer. But the light is visible at the end of this particular tunnel, and I think by the end of this month, I’ll have some really exciting news for you about the next step. Meanwhile, for those of you who have been asking about auditions, it’s still a little early. We did do some preliminary casting calls up at Stagedoor Manor and French Woods (and the kids were amazing), but that was really just because a lot of folks on the creative staff were all in the same town at the same time. The serious auditions won’t happen until October or November at the earliest. When it’s time, I’ll be sure to post on my site what’s going on and how you can be seen for it.

Next most common question: What’s going on with Honeymoon In Vegas? I was just in New York for two weeks doing a reading of the whole show, featuring Norbert Leo Butz, Lauren Kennedy and Terrence Mann, and it was so unbelievably awesome that my head exploded. We’re waiting right now to find out what the next step is, but I’m very excited about the show, and can’t wait for you all to see it.

Next most common question: Are you doing any concerts any time soon? I’ve been so busy writing that I haven’t really tended to my concertizing, but I am heading off to London on Friday for two months, and I will be doing at least one concert while I’m there (probably right after Parade opens). And I’ve got a couple of concerts already set for the fall back in the U.S., so I’ll be back in the saddle soon.

And if you go over to JasonRobertBrown.com, you’ll find all sorts of fun stuff: the entire cast and creative team of Parade at the Donmar, new blogs including the story of my invasion of Wilmington and my fascinating adventure on YouTube, and the usual collection of greatest hits and outtakes to which I’m adding more every month (a new update will be up by the end of this week!).

That’s all the news I can think of for now, but I’ll have more soon and you’ll be the first to know!

Thanks for listening!
