Roustabout Theater presents Jason Robert Brown in Concert!

On October 5, 2012, composer/lyricist Jason Robert Brown, hailed as “one of theater’s brightest musical hopes” (New York Times), is joining forces with Roustabout Theater’s Apprentice Program and Broadway singer Amy Ryder in a Benefit Concert for Roustabout featuring his “extraordinary, jubilant theater music” (Chicago Tribune). Bringing “one of Broadway’s smartest and most sophisticated songwriters since Stephen Sondheim” (Philadelphia Inquirer) to Sonoma County continues Roustabout’s reputation of collaborating with the world’s top theater professionals.

Jason Robert Brown’s performance features “high-powered pop-jazz pianism” where “the electricity is contagious” (New York Times). Sonoma County audiences will experience first-hand why “the appeal of Jason Robert Brown’s music is undeniable” (Variety) as Jason performs songs from his hit shows “Parade”, “Last Five Years”, “Songs for a New World”, “13”, and his latest show. “Honeymoon in Vegas” which has been announced to premiere on Broadway next year.

Jason will also teach two Master Classes with select Roustabout students on October 6. The public is invited to observe the classes for free.
