Happy New Year! I’m delighted to announce that I’ll be starting another season as the Artist-in-Residence at SubCulture! The first three concerts of 2016 – January 25th, February 20th and March 14th – are already on sale, and we’ll be announcing some amazing guests in the weeks ahead.
January 25, come join me and the Caucasian Rhythm Kings as we welcome two thrilling artists to the fold. The amazing Tituss Burgess is gonna do some serious singing, and also some very funny singing. The only Emmy nominee who has also played a crab on Broadway, Tituss will be performing every song I’ve ever written, but up a fifth.
But lo, here is a strange bedfellow! Legendary composer and accordion virtuoso Guy Klucevsek will also be on hand, to play some zydeco, some jazz, some of that crazy modern music the kids like, and some rock and roll. I’ve been looking for an opportunity to make some music with Guy for a while now, and this is going to be a thrill.
Maybe we can get Guy and Tituss to do a “Peeno Noir” duet.
Here are the details! January 25, 7:30 pm, SubCulture (45 Bleecker Street). New songs, new guests, same old me. Let’s ring in 2016 together!
See you soon!
Jason Robert Brown
