What was the most memorable moment of this concert? Was it Rachel recounting how she once had to scream “Go to Hell!” at a lamprey eel on a television show? Was it the free jazz rendition of “Wind Beneath My Wings”? Or when Carol and Mark told us after “Fifty Years Long” that they loved the song so much because they’ve been married for 56 years? Was it the room full of friends and family and fans new and old all singing along in perfect three-part harmony to “Caravan of Angels”? Rachel’s gonzo belting of the Irish girl song? Gary’s insane solo during “Hallowed Ground”? Justin’s fierce “Lucy Jordan” slide playing? Jamie’s miraculous ability to groove in 11? Randy’s rock solid samba (in Eb minor!)? Was it when the band came tromping out during the middle of the encore because they didn’t like being left out of “Moving Too Fast”?
Yes. It was all of that. The best way to celebrate the release of How We React and How We Recover and to collaborate with a glorious performer.

Damn it, I missed my chance to hear a free jazz rendition of Wind Beneath My Wings!
Congratulations on the new record.
