My first concert in about six months, and what a pleasure to do it in front of a sold-out house here at the Columbia Club, and with Shoshana Bean singing so gorgeously all night. Thanks to Lee Lessack for setting us up with this swell gig, and thanks to Shannon Forsell and Anne Miller for taking such great care of us!

Hi, and thank you again for the marvelous concert Saturday night in Indy! My friend and I drove up from Bloomington to see it, after wanting to see you perform for many years. I also liked the Q&A session — thanks for taking my question about what-goes-on-in-your-brain when composing a melody. Of course, I wish you could give more detail… If you have any more introspective thoughts about where the music and inspiration comes from, I’d be interested.
We corresponded briefly a few years back when you found my blog where I had reviewed your solo album, and it was nice to see you in person. We had brought some of your scores in hopes for an autograph but unfortunately left them in the car and decided not to wait in line empty-handed… so anyway, sorry I didn’t have a chance to chat with you any more after the show.
We really liked the new material — looking forward to the new shows!
