A lot of extraordinary people have come down to SubCulture to join me during this residency, but this Saturday night is something really special. Todrick Hall is everything – singer, songwriter, choreographer, designer, Broadway baby, MTV star, YouTube royalty – he’s a true creative force, with discipline to match his ambition, and charm to match his fire. I’ve watched him go from being a guy who made funny goofy Disney parodies to being amazed by his latest “video album,” Straight Outta Oz, which he also just took on a national tour. His work is smart, funny, funky, heartfelt, campy, ferocious, and overall brilliant – a real reflection of Todrick himself.

I can’t wait to have Todrick share the stage with us on Saturday night! He’ll be doing some choice JRB nuggets as well as some of his own amazing songs. My daughter is insisting that this is going to be “lit AF,” and while I don’t know what that means, I suspect she’s right.

Also joining us: rock star on the rise Kathryn Gallagher, here to belt her face off and break your heart.

Not to mention the usual crew, the Caucasian Rhythm Kings, featuring master fiddler Todd Reynolds, and the best sound in NYC! I can’t wait to see you there!

Saturday night, November 11, 8 pm at SubCulture, 45 Bleecker St. in NYC – here’s the info on tickets!

As I’m writing this, more horrible news is coming in about gun violence in this country. This Thursday, November 9, I’m co-chairing the Brady Campaign To Prevent Gun Violence 2017 Bear Awards Gala. You can help. If you can donate, even a small amount, we need more resources to take on the gun industry. Click here to make a donation, or if you’d like to join us November 9, we’d be honored to have you: click here for tickets to the 2017 Brady Campaign gala.

ALSO: The next SubCulture gig is DECEMBER 18, with an unbelievable special guest! (Hint: we’re gonna need two pianos.)
