Things have gone totally bananas in this mixed-up world! JRB & The Caucasian Rhythm Kings have sold out our 7:30 show on August 4 at SubCulture, so we’ve added a second show at 9:30 pm!

And now I can tell you what I couldn’t before: my special guest vocalist is none other than SHOSHANA BEAN! (You can see Stephen Holden’s rave NY Times review of our last show together here.)

Not only that, but also joining us will be the amazing ELENA SHADDOW from The Bridges of Madison County. Guess what we’ll be singing!

So here’s the lowdown: Jason Robert Brown and the Caucasian Rhythm Kings are bringing their patented brand of rock/blues/jazz/folk/Gregorian chant/klezmer/polka/atonal cacophony/salsa to New York’s SubCulture for one night only, AUGUST 4 at 7:30 pm & 9:30 PM.

The show will feature guest singerSHOSHANA BEAN as well as the legendary Caucasian Rhythm Kings band: Gary Sieger & Matt Hinkley on guitars, Randy Landau on bass and Brian Dunne on drums. Elena Shaddow will also be joining the band for a special selection from The Bridges of Madison County. And who knows, some other people might show up too.

Songs to be performed include a wide selection from the three-time Tony Award-winner’s catalog, with numbers from The Bridges of Madison County, The Last Five Years, Songs for a New World, 13, Parade, Wearing Someone Else’s Clothes and his newest musical, Honeymoon In Vegas, which begins previews at Broadway’s Brooks Atkinson Theatre on November 18.

A strictly limited number of tickets are available at $35.00 for the show, and can be purchased in advance at SubCulture’s website.
