Hey all! Just back from a fantastic tour in Australia and a tremendous performance of Trumpet of the Swan at the Kennedy Center, and I’ve got news!

A very cool event coming up in New York this month. On April 11, CAP21 will be honoring me and Georgia for their annual all-star benefit, and we’re putting together a great concert to celebrate.

Kelli O’Hara is going to sing something from The Bridges of Madison County, Davis Gaines will sing from Parade, Lauren Kennedy, Brian d’Arcy James, Christopher Jackson, Aisha deHaas and our longtime muse Jessica Molaskey, all bringing my songs and Georgia’s songs to life. And wait! There’s also a 30-voice choir! And a nine-piece orchestra, conducted by Tom Murray!

Daisy Prince is directing the event, which will also include an award to Matt Morrison, who will be accepting via video, which is very fancy and Hollywood.

Pre-curtain reception begins at 6 PM; performance at 7:30 PM. Tickets for the concert and reception are $200 and $150; concert-only tickets are $75 and $25. Proceeds benefit The CAP21 Theatre Company. For tickets, call (866) 811-4111 or visit ovationtix.com.

And don’t forget: April 28-30, me and Anika Noni Rose in concert at the Henry Street Settlement! Click here for the news!

See you in NYC in April!
